The idea for BibleVerse 2009 was formed by various teenagers from the Disney family to commemorate 2009: exactly 19 years since 1990, when Michael Eisner (CEO, Disney Corporation) started to pump out their various Christian 90's popstars. With many of these once-kids now 19, and older every year; we wanted to mark this date, by getting together with some of the Disney Channel programmers and creating something that would commemorate this date.
• SmartSearch TM feature, which forms the core of BibleVerse 2009, which allows the ability to both type in a Verse, Chapter, Book, as well as conduct a search.
• Innovative I'm Feeling Blessed TM button which provides a blessing whenever required - that is, the random selection of a Bible verse.
• The Bible is divided into the Old and New Testament.
• There are no tactless "Tips of the Day".
• Books of the Bible are clearly shown in full rather than annotated.
• There are no rarely used "Study Note" and "Topic Note" features.
• Fewer menus, which are converged with the nomenclature of Mozilla Firefox.
• New sexy and sleek streamlined interface.
• No need for Microsoft Rich Textbox Control 6.0 which is at the core of the "DLL Hell" which makes e-Sword so "buggy".
• No proprietary code, including the new installer which is created by Nullsoft, also used for big names such as Winamp.
